Tactile, visual, auditory…

It’s amazing to me how abstract so much of our workflow has become.  We don’t have the tangibles to work with anymore.  Yes, computers give us so many tools to move so much faster but I found this article fascinating.  The people that quite playing with things because they were so inacessible.  I think that is very closely tied to the resurgence of “hackers”  “tinkerers” “makers”

Make magazine is taking off on the basis of people needing to touch, adjust, re-mix and actually have an interaction and change upon their world and their tools.  It all reminds me closely we are tied to our senses and our need to have impact upon our world.  Even if it is just customizing one little thing in our lives!
